Celeste's Chocolate Pecan Pie

1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups pecan halves
3 eggs
2 Tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup light or dark Karo syrup

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Put chocolate chips in bottom of pie crust
Sprinkle pecans on top of chips
Combine all other ingredients together and mix well
Pour into pie crust and bake for 30-35 minutes or until top is golden brown

Serve with vanilla ice cream
